Celebrities Love Swarovski Crystals

Many celebrities choose to wear Swarovski jewelry as a fashion statement. Swarovski's website has a subsection called Crystal News, which spoke of an event called "Swarovski Rocks" that occurred in the United Kingdom about unveiling a new style of crystals. Many celebrities were in attendance to show of the new styles, such as Uma Thurman, Kate Moss, Samuel L Jackson and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Kate Moss wore this flapper frock, reminiscent of the 1920's era. The dress was a replica of one she donned on her first night out with actor Johnny Depp in '94 and is for auction by TopShop on Ebay, benefiting the Prince's Trust.

It has 20,000 hand-cut Swarovski crystals and sells for $60,000.

Uma Thurman was equally fantastic looking but I have left her picture off since she appeared to be in need of some underwear but you can click on the following link to see more celebrities in Swarovski crystals.

The prospect for Swarovski crystals looks even brighter now. Just a couple of years ago, crystal wasn't the ‘in' thing in fashion. Designers were predominately using dark and sombre-looking clothing, and all the fashion magazines were showing images of celebrities wearing lots of black. Now everywhere we look, we see "bling," using bright and shiny fabrics adorned with sequins, sashes and crystals.

On occasion, celebrities for fashion shows commission entire dresses studded with Swarovski crystal, and this can be quite expensive - up to $200 per yard of fabric.

Swarovski also has an occasional promotion to help create product ideas. Many people who are would-be fashion designers go onto designboom.com/crystalvision website - a design company that works with Swarovski - and discuss and debate new product ideas for Swarovski. Their willingness to listen to customers also gives them a popularity amongst buyers.

Swarovski jewelry, in addition to being partially user-designed, is also constantly adding new items so it never really gets dated.
